You will be an integral part of our team, responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with the production team to understand project vision and editing needs. Review footage and provide insightful input to the storytelling process. Edit footage into timelines and cut time out of certain shots to create a more impactful story. Combine visual footage with audio sound effects, dialogue, ambient sound, and a musical soundtrack. Apply creative editing techniques to inject emotion and rhythm while maintaining the integrity of the story. Color correct and grade footage to achieve a high-quality, polished look. Add graphics and effects that complement the storytelling without overshadowing. Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for final delivery. Qualifications: Proven work experience as a Video Editor, with a portfolio of work that demonstrates storytelling abilities. Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer). Strong understanding of post-production workflow and the technical aspects of editing. Keen eye for detail and a critical mind in service of narrative coherence. Ability to hold a narrative thread across multiple sources of content. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with directors and clients to achieve a shared vision. A deep sense of discretion and sensitivity to the personal nature of the content. Time management skills and the ability to work on deadlines.
