Hello, my name is Ethan, and I am a metal fabricator/artist. My company is Deep Orbit Enterprises and I make visual art pieces for festivals. I am creating an art project/structure and need the entire thing designed in sketchup before I can create it in real life. I have done a little work myself in sketchup, but feel that this project is beyond my abilities and would like someone who is proficient to help me with this part of the project. I am building what is known as a Zome. It s basically a type of geodesic dome. I have attached a simple already made model that can be found in the 3d warehouse of sketchup. It is called "cool shape" made by "sketchupfreak". The Zome will be 20' at the base of the 12 sided dodecagon. It will not have solid sides, but will be made out of 1.5" pipe, connected at each intersection with custom made brackets. These brackets will be the most important part of my design. I can explain the brackets better though drawings and other materials. I have attached a photo of a similar design for a bracket, but it should not be taken literally, just as an outline for what I am thinking. I'm looking for someone who is proficient, and who is willing to take the time to understand my ideas.
