We are a mobile app development agency based in NYC looking to hire freelance Test Engineer for upcoming app development projects. We work with out clients to take their ideas and turn them into apps. We build apps for Android, iPhone and Windows Phone and have shipped over 30 apps to date. As a Test Engineer you will be responsible for writing a formal black box test plans based on functional specifications for our mobile app projects and then using that test plan to perform manual and automated tests against the app. From here you will log issues into our bug reporting system and then verify that fixes have been completed when resolved by engineering. You will be responsible for the entire QA process for whatever project you are assigned to and you will be expected to complete thorough and accurate testing of the project in a timeline manner. It is expected that in addition to running full complete test passes on the build once a week, you will also be available on demand to provide basic functionality testing of the app on a daily basis for development builds. You should expect to contribute 10-15 hours of test work per week for roughly 2 months of development. While this position doesn’t require any programming, experience in being able to pull source code from Git and to create our own local builds in Xcode is a definite plus.
I have experience with mobile games development in Unity3D to export to iOS and Android, and games in Flash. I was working with git for Unity Game source management, but now I use Unity Asset server. I am an addicted gamer and a game developer who demands a excellent user experience when using applications or playing games. I was my own tester and I can see the behaviour and can understand the system behind it, even if I didn't build it.
