Thus far I have won the most recent screenplay contests on Freelancer and also won the most recent awarded screenplay contract. (Please check my profile...contractor has hidden details for that last one (NDA) but did give me a stellar review which is still apparent). Also one of my 1st Draft contest-winning scripts is in production as we speak. MY KNOWLEDGE OF SLASHER MOVIES: Halloween; Jason; Friday the 13th; Nightmare on Elm Street; Chucky (Child's Play); Scream; Wrong Turn; I know What You Did Last Summer; Alone In The Dark etc....the list goes on and on. I have watched 'dem' slashers slashing well into their sequels and more. Oh and of course let's not forget the parody "Scary Movie franchise." The latest slasher movie I watched was "Evidence." Though apparently labelled under the category "Contained Thriller" it is really your typical Slasher flick. In Slasher movies there's no point reinventing the wheel. The secret is to have some form of twist. "Evidence" did (although I guessed it before the wrap) and the current "in-thing" is so-called "Found Footage" although I believe this has run its course. For a low budget successful Slasher flick your shooting arena has to be contained. To make it interesting and colorful you need a diverse set of characters with an apparent red herring (the loner with serial killer written all over). Also you need a reason for these people to be under the same roof at the same time (bad weather?) As for politically correct...WHAT?

Hi StevenHernandez, I would really love to write this for you! Please have a look at my portfolio and in particular my screenplay entitled The Gallery and you will see why. My script is about as politically un-correct as you can get and is satirical too as well as full of macabre murders and sleazy characters. It's set in Britain, but if you ignore that you will see, hopefully, that I can tell a good story with wit and black humour and don't mind how far the boundaries get smashed. The BBC read it and did say I was a writer "with a bold comic vision" (but sadly they didn't like it enough to make it). Screenwriting is my passion, so I would absolutely love to write your slasher film for you and if selected for the role I would give you 100% commitment and dedication. I can work on it full-time right now and would provide you with a full first draft and be happy to make revisions and drafts until you were completely satisfied with the screenplay. Hello!, Your project sounds very interesting and appealing to me so it's with great pleasure, and indeed hope, that I submit this bid. I'm an ex-drama student so have experience in writing scripts/screenplays, am rarely 'politically correct' (except, of course, when I need to be!), a bit of a film, or as most of your compatriots might say- 'movie' buff, an excellent (and modest!) writer and, low budget or not, I always strive to achieve high standards of work. And besides- who does 'baddies' as good as us Brits!!? Without being presumptuous or getting ahead of myself, there are lots of questions I would have on being awarded this project, examples of which include; Have the overall plot and characterizations been written? What's the intended running time of the movie? What restrictions do you have in terms of equipment, location and post-production? and so on. I already did some scripts for sitcoms, so it will be not the first time for me doing that. Of course, I will need more details about poject. I am a huge fan of dark movies and I can write a good film-noir script and a slasher film script. I have made minimalist short films and one of them was recently awarded.
