Senior Java Developer

Trovit is a classified ads search engine based in Barcelona, Spain. It was founded in 2006 and has constantly grown; it is now present in 43 countries with 4 verticals: homes, cars, jobs and products. We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our Pipeline team and work with motivated people managing Big Data with Hadoop to ensure ads are processed correctly and shown to users, working with traffic stats and keywords. You will work in a dynamic, creative and innovative environment. We use the newest technologies in our field on a day-to-day basis, in a high-traffic site with a global philosophy. We’re crazy about the Internet and we love to learn new things every day as well as at conferences and industry events. This challenging position is full-time and based in Barcelona. What you will do: Define and design data infrastructure and distributed systems Develop and implement systems using the best development tools Thoroughly apply development best development practices (Code Reviews, Testing, etc.) Keep on top of the latest developments in distributed systems and big data fields Work closely with other teams (product, web, etc.) Contribute with fresh new ideasRequirements: Experience working with some of the big data technologies like Hadoop in an Internet Company Deep understanding of algorithms and data structures Fluent in multiple development languages and interested in learning more (Solr, Spark, etc.) Team player, flexible, analytical and problem solver.
