fix .htaccess file

having problem with a few lines in .htaccess file which allows certain features of the script to work. I spoke with my host and they told me there were a few errors in this file. they said couple things needed to be redone for their server. I also need whom ever i choose to provide me with some file paths so that i can change some text throughout the site. all you need to do is locate the files which have the text in it for me me to change. in the .htaccess file,what i'm trying to get to work is the url rewrite feature i have to make my script seo friendly. and also video access, audio access etc. host said it's simple job so it wont take long if you know what you're doing. need this done asap. also another thing, at the moment the tags for articles, photos , must be words with more then 4 letters and less then 11, I would like to change that, to minimum 6 not more than 20. you will have to signup in the site and explore for yourself to make sure what you do with the .htaccess file and other things work. the only way of knowing that is to use it in front end of script. the person i choose must be willing to use constant communications with me via yahoo messenger. not communications, no job. thanks. for the right person, i have additional work on this same script. good luck.
