create an export import bulk upload function for my site

The development of a generic script which maps the csv fields with that of the database might not be possible to develop in this case. The reason is, due to the mapping to be done. Each category or directory type (like hotels, motors, education etc...) which are available in the directory theme are having their own post meta (as name / value pairs) which are different for different types. This a user who uses need to be aware of inorder to map the csv fields with that of the actual post meta for that category. For example: If cars are imported, then the corresponding post meta set is to be matched with the csv fields. The window of possible errors that can happen due to user action as well as due to the way the values are handled in the theme to display them on the frontend are wide. Even, If we are developing such a plugin for this purpose, the time taken to develop will be: 20 - 24 days due to the fact that we have to address all the factors that are involved in the import under various categories. 485858 -------------- 1. To import the provided csv into the website can be done. 2. Will build a separate script / plugin to do the import of the csv. The plugin will read the csv, parse the values, and insert the values in the appropriate database fields. 3. Also the database fields can be exported in the prescribed csv format.
