We require an experienced web developer to fix a small bug in the user registration process of our live web-based PHP application (PHP version 5.6.6). Our app treats a user’s email address as the unique identifier for their user account. As such, no two user accounts should have the same email address. The user registration page performs a check on a user’s email address, but this check has a bug. In some circumstances, the bug is allowing users to register more than once using the same email address (which in turn creates clashes in our database and access issues for the user). We would like the bug resolved so that the registration process prevents users from signing up with an email address that is already in the system. A screencast demonstration showing the bug in greater detail will be provided to the successful bidder. The app is live, so please consider (and indicate in your bid) how you will test/demonstrate the solution works before it is implemented. The project can start immediately, upon the developer signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement and Standard Agreement. The project needs to be completed at the latest by Friday, 28 October 2016 (9.00pm Australia EST). Payment will be in two equal milestones: 50% when a working solution is deployed and 50% after UAT feedback is addressed. If the project goes well, there is a very high likelihood of repeat work. This may include more small projects or even an agreement for ongoing technical support (for example, as a small number of set hours per month) or an early opportunity to bid on larger future projects. Hi. In all my projects user table has unique field "email", so database prevents situation like you bug. So if you choose my bid I'll t first modify table structure and than I'll add code to check result of INSERT statement for newly registered user. Theese 2 things will fix your bug.
