Create a server emulator for a small 2D online game.

I am looking for someone who can code a game server emulator for a small (3mb) 2D zelda style game client, preferably in Visual C# 2005 although I am open to suggestion. The server should run on Windows and be simple to use. It needs to be able to keep track of player accounts, inventory, server flags, time and other objects and should communicate with clients and retain all the regular functionality of the game that the orginal server could. Database can be text files or SQL. Earlier Windows versions of the server can be provided for example of the desired product, along with the client exe and the C++ Linux source code and exe for the original game server. The original source code for the game server is only about 9k lines. Unfortunately the original Linux game server is buggy, outdated, not secure, and won't compile with any current day compilers. Hence why I need to have someone make an updated server emulator. I'm open to all levels but coders should have a decent knowledge of Linux and Windows code. Also if time and ability permits, there might be a possibility of making extra money for upgrading your coded server emulator to run with a later version of the game client of which I do not have the server or source code for. If you require the client or anything else, just ask. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
