osCommerce: Add custom functionality

We are using osCommerce to sell professional training sessions. People can browse the training catalog and can register to sessions that have been scheduled in different cities/countries. We would like to allow potential attendees to get more details on the course venues (address, nearby hotels, etc.). So far, we have added fields to the products table to specify the city where a session takes place as well as the session date, but we would like to go one step further by creating a custom table with a series of fields that will contain the relevant information and can be completed on the admin side of OsC. The end user should then be able to access this information by clicking on a specific session which will open a pop-up window containing the relevant course venue information in the correct language. The requested customization should take care of: 1) New database table and fields for the course venue details 2) Admin page to fill the database table 3) Linking sessions to course venues on the admin side 4) Creating a correct hyperlink allowing the display of the course venue on the product info page 5) Pop-up window containing the course venue information corresponding to a specific session. Note that this is a bilingual (English/French) implementation of OsCommerce and the requested customization should display the information in the language selected by the end user. Also note that several changes have already been made to the original source code, but they are not expected to interfere with this specific customization. You can have a look at the current website at: <[login to view URL]> ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
