Webmaster / Web Developer

Webmaster / Web Developer required for a retained position. PLEASE READ CAREFULY BEFORE BIDDING We are looking for an experienced Webmaster and developer to work with us on a regular and ongoing basis. The person will be paid a regular wage each month for a maximum of (40 x hours’) work each month. There will be times when the amount of work will be considerably less but you will still be paid the same regular wage. During busy periods you may be asked to co-ordinate with other contractors and delegate tasks. You must have appropriate skills working, maintaining and developing websites based on: Wordpress, Joomla and Drupal. You must speak fluent English. You must have access to reliable communications such as Skype, and telephone. You must have good documentation and procedural skills. You must have access to PayPal for the reciept and dispersment of expenses relating to projects. The job will require: (1) Moving small web sites from existing hosts and reinstalling them on new host servers approx (7 x) each month. (2) Performing monthly backups & security checks for all existing web sites a maximum of (30 x) (3) Ensure that the websites are up to date and running version control and ensuring that all are performing well, and running suitable versions & patches. (4) You will provide small incremental improvements and functionality to these websites. (5) Use existing websites as a template to create new Websites in the family and modify as required. (6) Upload maximum of (40 x) Articles each month along with formatting and positioning of up to three images per article. (7) Looking after advertising banner, AdSense and other forms of advertising from time to time. (8) Assist with SEO work time permitting. (9) Attend at least two telephone staff conference calls each month (approximately 20 minutes) (10) Be involved in the selection and management of other contractors. (11) Manage a small expense budget.
