Sports e-ZIne Website

Creation of the first part of an online magazine that will showcase local high school sporting events and athletes. Initially, the site will have 3 goals: 1. To publish photos of athletes and games that look like they came out of *_Sports Illustrated_*. 2. To tell the "story of the game" through photos. There may be a short (no more than 300 words) article about a game, but definitely more photos than written articles. 3. To be THE place people turn to for coverage of a local game. **The site will be updated frequently so easy maintenance is important**. Required: 1. Headline page with an area fand link or the featured story caption and 2 photos (1 big, 1 small). Links to the feature galery page. 2. Area for "Recently Covered" games. Each game will have a teaser and thumbnail photo to link to the game gallery. 3. Game galleries will be no more than 20 photos, each about 600 pixels in the longest direction with detailed captions. Linked from the headline page. Need the ability to show at least 6 games + feature story on the site at any one time. 4. The ability to update the site quickly- like right after a game from a laptop- is critical. Need to be able to designate the feaure story and recently covered stories. 5. Copyright statement must be on each page. Did I mention I'll need to update the site quickly and easily? Here's a good example of what I need: [[login to view URL]][1] RIght now, just the galleries. I'll get into the e-commerce stuff later. Need a layout that is easy to navigate and geared toward high school students. I will supply a graphic banner with the logo that should be displayed on each page. Id like the site running by August 26 (thats when HS football starts). Let me know if you have any questions. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform The site must be viewable on any web browser. I will maintain the site on a Mac (OS X).
