This application will be a scanned document repository. The user will scan documents and save them in a folder on the server. The application will move the files and create a new record for each file in the database. The user will then annotate the files and the documents will go into the archive. The user will then be able to search by the annotated fields to find documents.
User Interface:
* The user has a scanner that saves documents on the server in a folder.
* The user will login to the web interface of this application
* The user will have the option to import new documents. When they click this option the application will go through the scanned documents directory and move each document to a destination location in a folder named the current month and year.
* A new record will be added to the database with the relative path to the scanned document in its new location.
* All newly imported documents that have not yet been annotated will show up in a queue called “New Documents?? in the web interface.
* The queue list will display file date and time and document type
* The user will be able to click on the document and open it up.
* When the user opens up the document, the scanned image will appear along with a control to choose a document type.
* After the user chooses a document type, a series of controls will appear whereby the user can enter information to annotate the document.
