Near Feild Communication Tags Linked to Database on Excel Spreadsheet

Basically this is what I want to do. I want my employees to scan an NFC tag attached to containers at our customer sites. A time stamp of when the NFC device was triggered to correlate with bins listed on our internal spreadsheet. I was thinking of using an NFC device operating either android or windows 8 (a phone perhaps) that can live link to an excel spreadsheet in the cloud. We would need help at first with the syncing of aprox 800 NFC tags to correlate with bins at specific locations at one customers site, then expand to hundreds of different customers. Please give me your thoughts, real time tracking of when our bins are serviced at customer sites.
