Looking for a Chef/Menu Curator/Food Lover/ Recipe Creator who can design and create a complete menu for a fully kitted food truck (possible to buy additional equipment if needed). This job is not to design a menu which looks good, but to create a menu which can be served and enjoyed. The food truck will be based in an urban area of London, you can be creative with the menu, it can be any type of cuisine so let your creative juices run free. The only requirements are: - Keep it simple! - It is fine to have just a few very good dishes on the menu, the number you include is up to you - We will need to turnaround food quickly and easily - Max. 3 members of staff in the truck at one time - Make sure customers can easily understand and read the menu - Ensure we can be consistent with portion sizes, taste and quality Feel free to use these truck menus as inspiration: - [login to view URL] - [login to view URL] Requirements: • Experience with creating menus and developing recipes. • Direct experience working with ingredients, dishes, and menus. • Ability to breakdown dishes and recipes into ingredients and components. • A deep understanding of how dietary and allergy requirements affect the composition of a dish. • You need to have strong attention to detail. • A sound knowledge of food hygiene regulations and safe food practices. • A passion to produce outstanding dishes and unique specials. • Knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety regulations. Nice to have: • Bachelor's Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Food Technology, Nutrition, Culinary Arts/Gastronomy (be bonafide foodie!) • Food truck experience (at a festival or fixed site) Next steps 1.
