Trigonometry (possibly calculus) Function

Hi. As I understand, you need a Java function of x, computing y, for a path from lower left point 'a' to upper right point 'b'. 'a' and 'b' are joined by an S-curve from an arc to a tangent line to another arc. The arcs are specified by radius & slope at points a and b. Hey I am a PhD and propose to solve your problem in Matlab (I do not know Java) as follows 1) using circle equation get the coordinates in arc a 2) using circle equations get the coordinates in b 3) for coordinates in line, do linear interpolation. Thanks.
