I Need a Linux script (ubuntu 8.04) to gather and report system health information: You will need to ensure that the script works by testing it on your own system the info I propose to gather is: 1)hostname 2)Machine IP address (external address of ppp) 3)Mac address (eth0) 4)Diskspace 5)Average CPU load for last 30 minutes 6)cpu temp (I have tested 'lm-sensors' which works on the motherboard) 7)Internal Temp 8)System temp 9)fan speed 1 (cpu fan lm-sensors) 10)fan speed 2 (other fan speed lm-sensors) 11) other info reported by top or Htop such as top5 processes by cpu load and meme usage 12) network (data) usage of the ppp connection (my ppp connection is made via 'wvdial' and the modem is a 3G cellular modem) The script should then also report this info via an http request such as [login to view URL] etc etc (I will supply the PHP page but you will have to stipulate the variable names you used to capture (eg '2=ip address' '3=mac address ' '4= cpuload' etc)
