Scenario: URGENT - NEGOTIABLE You have received a Cuckoo report on a well-known Malware sample (ZeuS). The report is in JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) format. JSON is a language independent text language, used to store text in a structured way (similar to XML). Your assignment is to make use of the languages (PYTHON, PERL, SHELL SCRIPTING ) we have covered (or will cover) in order to parse information from the file, perform statistical analysis on the data you retrieve and present it, where possible, in the form of a GRAPH (bar charts, pie charts, plots, stats etc.). You should draw conclusions from the analysis of the data. NOTES, EXAMPLES will be provided. DO NOT USE OTHER PROG LANGUAGE apart from what is listed.

I have experience writing Python scripts like this and I could write it fairly quick as well. I would have a few questions about what exactly you want though. Do you provide the JSON Cuckoo reports or am I supposed to find them? The assignment gives a few examples but I don't know if I am supposed to choose what analysis to do or if you choose? Would an IPython (Jupyter) notebook work for this? Or do you just want a stand alone script? With the IPython (Jupyter) notebook you could have the code, visualizations and even a written interpretation in a single file (I don't know if you are allowed to use that though?). Am I supposed to use Python 2 or Python 3? Do you have any particular visualizations/graphs in mind? Or do I just choose them? I could get working on this right away if you could answer those questions (and potentially upload the example JSON reports). Thank you for your time.
