Hello, I deployed MongoDB cluster as a microservice on PKS and other microservices could connect to MongoDB. Here, since MongoDB is a database and I had a need its data to be persistent, if docker container is deleted and recreated, to achieve persistent storage I used persistent volume feature in kuberntes to allocate volumes to containers using NFS. Hi, I have experience of similar project using Pivotal Kubernetes Service couple of months ago. In the past, Docker is used for automating computer application deployment, scaling and management, but now PKS is more popular. Because it runs across a cluster while Docker runs on a single node. Developers interact with PKS and PKS deployed Kubernetes in two ways - BOSH, kubectl. I am a prime candidate for this role because of my extensive experience in building platforms on top of Kubernetes. I have built reliable, secure and fail-safe systems capable of handling ~100 millions of requests per hour. I am mostly interested in the position to get experience in freelance software and that's why I have a deeply discounted rate. I would design a system with strict role based access control with explicit roles per application. Assuming the applications are also running in Kubernetes I would create secrets that would be injected in to each application. We would also implement strict Network Policies depending on what Kubernetes CNI is being utilized. All deployments and configuration I do would be done through git and pipelines which you own and would continue to own after the project is complete (assuming you already have a preferred git and CI system otherwise I can build out if needed or host it myself and provide access). MongoDB's data would be set up to be persistent and backed up externally frequently. Everything would be documented in detail in the README's in the git repository. We would need to meet initially to scope out the exact requirements. After I would want to do at least a weekly meeting until it is complete (although I expect it wouldn't take long to implement). Would provide operational support and training as needed.
