Job Description An upcoming Mumbai based athleisure startup is looking for an experienced Technical Designer to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting fittings, processing fit comments, communicating with overseas vendors, approving garment specifications, and managing the sample development process. You will utilize your exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships with clients, external offices, and internal staff. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in furthering their professional career with an upcoming startup fashion company. Additional duties include. Generating and maintaining specification packages Choosing the right blends of fabrics to ensure utmost comfort and performance. Partnering with design and production teams during fittings. Promoting and upholding the brand’s integrity by adhering to construction and consistency standards throughout the fit process. Assuring seasonal deadlines are met for all assigned categories. Approving fit and trim components and garment construction specifications within development and production timelines. Skills & Experience Requirements. 5-10 years of technical design experience; must have experience with active wear. Strong knowledge of construction/fit standards, fabrics, manufacturing methods, and pattern corrections. Ability to quickly and proactively solve problems. Detail-oriented, personable, and savvy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design programs; Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel, etc. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
