Design a flashcard template in Scribus

The project is to create the template design, in Scribus, for flashcards that will be used to learn words in a foreign language. Design of front of the card or cards there is a basic template with the idea, but for sure the design can be improved, providing 2 or 3 options there are different type of cards, depending on the type of word (noun, verb,.. ), But the design in all cases will be similar. Some examples can be found in the attachements The components of the card will be: • an icon, in the right upper corner, to distinguish the type of word • The word in foreign language (initially in English) • An image (at least for the nouns) • The word in local language • For the verbs, or depending on the languaje, some additional information like the conjugation or the declination The type of cards will be: nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs and complements (basically of time and place). A small sub-icon (still not decided if this will be finally included or not) may indicate if the word is related to persons, to places, to things, etc. Maybe some background with specific colors can be added in the design of the card, to distinguish the type of word. It will be better to create a template per type of word. The size of the card is the standard bridge card 3.5 tall and 2.25 inches wide, respecting the margins. If there is a technical reason, we could agree as well to use poker cards size or other size. Some examples are attached. Back of the card: the back of the card, have as well to be designed. A generic arabesque would be enough. Maybe in the back of the card, we can insert a text with the deck number, like “Deck 1”, “Deck 2”, etc review of the design of icons: the design of the icons for distinguish the different type of words (nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc) may also be reviewed. There would be some indications to design the icons, that will be provided separately. Intellectual property the designer will sign a small agreement giving the intellectual property rights output the output will be the templates of the cards and the icons in scribus ( .Sla files)and the export in .pdf format and .png formats. Additional work although not part of the design or this concrete job, we can agree, separately, to produce a number of cards using the templates, and using some free images.
