Suggest update to a dated homepage

We have a very dated looking website that we are rebuilding. We need to update the home page right now while we rebuild the rest of the site. This is a simple photoshop project. (or you choose - as long as we get a pdf of what you come up with) The site is [login to view URL] We are fine right now with the four images on the banner across the top as well as the links. The main body with the 3 images, text and white background needs to be improved. We have a landing page - see attached file - that customers will hit first. The main image in this landing page can be used, or you can use one from the site - make you suggestion in what you produce, we will implement your suggestions ourselves (We now have an in-house person who can do this, but none of us are designers) We would like to keep the text - or some of it on the home page, and would probably like to keep the two photos of the inside of the fireplace as well (as insets in the main image - but we are open to your suggestions) The third image of a full fireplace is to be removed. Bidders should have some background in website and graphic design as we are relying on your suggestions to begin the process of revamping this site. Subsequent sites for our other products are likely to follow. On this project, we are looking for suggestions - via a mock up - on how to quickly improve the existing page. We are not interested in full templates or changes as this is a temporary solution.
