The program runs on windows XP
The program scans incoming data packets from the internet
The program applies the attached file "basic_dump" which is a filter
The filter needs to tell the program to ignore the "00" hexadecimal.
Your job is to edit the filter to ignore the "00" (rather than to take the dump, copy, split, and decode both halves).
Attached is a text copy of the dump and the actual dump captured by wireshark. I was advised that half of the dump is UTF-8 and the other half is UTF-16. From what I understand the program has no need for the "00" in the second half of the dump are not needed and it would be easiest to tell the program to ignore the "00" rather than to take the dump, copy, split and decode both halves.
I also attached the alerting program. Line 423 is where the interpret starts and the capture is found in a download called wpdpack.
