We are a small group focused on development of credit card payment solutions, and this job is the first of a series of 3 seperate jobs - where in this first step of the series, we wish to develop an API for testing a few simple **FIX PROTOCOL** inquiries.
This API is to be used in conjuction with an "off-the-shelf" FIX Engine connected to a remote financial data server, and the general idea is to create a very basic infrastructure for testing the automation of:
- data update requests
- processing data updates
- logging data updates to a database
- logging process results to a database
- database segmentation or "summary"
**NO prior knowledge of the Financal Information eXchange (FIX) protocol is required, although candidates familiar with FIX will be prioritized.**
It is expectected that you have the following qualifications:
* Linux (e.g. debian) and the GNU/Linux toolchain
* > 3 years experience with professional Java development (preferably including concurrency/threading)
* Experience with JUnit og JMock (preferably also the Spring framework)
* General experience with database development (MySQL and/or other)
**Qualified Candidates MUST first document their qualifications and/or send an updated CV in order to receive the detailed project description**
**JOB 2** will be to invoke addtional FIX queries for automation of order-placement based upon the processed of the data updates
**JOB 3** will be for an implementation of a propretarty FIX Engine based upon a Freeware- or Open-Source solution.
Upon having succesfully completed JOB 1, qualified candidates will obviously also be offered the opportunity to complete jobs 2 and 3 in addition to the opportunity of addtional jobs that we plan to begin with within the next 3 months.
