Hi, I have extensive experience as a Data Warehouse developer, and I know the challenges of automating the import and cleansing of CSV files into a data warehouse or relational data source. For this project, I can develop an ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) job using a productivity tool such as Talend for Data Integration. This job will take care of processing CSV files and loading data into target database. Deliverable is a packaged Java program that can be scheduled or run on demand. I also read your update, so this is what I recommend for each of your needs: * Staging database for CSV files plus Target database with Horses table (useful to clean/import horse's data only once) and analytical tables (same as hidden pivot tables in Excel example) ready for consumption. - Best practice for structuring, maintaining and housing the data - Centralise and consolidation of information * ETL job used to import/clean/format CSV files and load them into staging area. - Simplified way of importing fresh data daily: - Simplified way of scrubbing and formatting data: * ETL job used to load Horses and analytical tables, and also implement calculated fields logic. - Auto calculated fields as new data is fed in * Excel can connect to SQL target database and pull analytical tables. - Ability to run a report to pull pertinent information to populate dashboard in excel For target database, I suggest using SQL Database from Azure.
