Adding old content to a blog

Hello Freelancers, This project requires someone with: very, very basic knowledge of HTML and Wordpress. You just need decent English, the ability to follow instructions and the patience to carry out a repetitive task! I recently switched a website to a Wordpress blog, and need to restore all the old articles/diary entries. There is no automatic way of doing this - all I have are the old HTML pages. Therefore this content has to be added via Wordpress 'post by post'. Here's a brief description: I will provide the old site's source files (old articles etc - this file is 84MB and ideally you need it locally on your PC) > The source code is very easy to understand (just basic HTML) - you'll need to open the pages, view source and lift out the articles to paste into Wordpress > You'll then need to remove any lost images and broken links > Change any relative paths to absolute paths so the images we still have load > Give the article a title > Set a featured image (a pic from the article) > Once a complete column is onto Wordpress - backdate the post to when it was originally written (the date is on each article - this takes 2 seconds in WP). It sounds like a lot of work but in reality it's very easy in Wordpress. Once you've done a few you'll be able to rattle them out quickly. In total there are perhaps ~300 articles (approx). Since I don't have an exact figure I'll set the wage at: $0.25 per post. Ideally I would like one freelancer to do the whole thing. I'm not overly pushed for time so I would suggest a timescale of 7 days (though if you spent all your time on this it could be done in 2-3 days). Once the project is finished I'll check the total number of posts processed, calculate the price and send payment immediately. Thank you!
