We have a couple of different businesses and are looking for an experienced person to create/upload/write/configure products that we want adding to different ecommerce platforms. Our suppliers have most of the information required such as specifications/images, However they are lacking in wording sales descriptions and attractive visual layouts.
This project is mainly for outdoor apparel sales, however we also sell consumer electronics although this will be limited to just a few products.
As we do not know how many products we will be listing we would prefer to pay on a per product basis. If acceptable to you this will be a on-going project so that if we decide to list a few more products you will simply be able to do this as and when. As a guess I would say we are looking at around 30 items to start with and there is no particular deadline for the work to be completed.
EBay - We hate to see simple written text with no layout, it will be your job to write a sentence or two about the item i.e. “this luxury outdoor sailing jacket is ideal for outdoor sports with its waterproof coating and breathable lining and performs well in extreme conditions” and also make it look visually appealing, perhaps keeping a theme going across all listings (HTML skills ideal) We use Ebay Blackthorne or Turbo lister so you can create “quick parts” for repetitively used bits i.e. for the returns warranty - saving the same bit being written over and over.
Amazon - Uploading of products that already exist, so precise configuring of our inventory is essential.
Our own website - We use Zen-Cart where you can add products simply with a html area for writing details and also an attributes controller where you can set the available options for colour/size for each product. I would give you login details to create these product listings and configure the attributes.
There are other companies out there selling the same items so you could get your ideas from them. All the above could be uploaded from a CSV file however we prefer a person to do it manually as it gives a greater appearance.
Good communication skills, good English and examples of past work of a similar thing essential.
The key to the above is someone who can create great product pages that are well written (only a line or two) and that look visually appealing as and when needed.

I am an experienced Ebay and Amazon seller. My listings have rarely been just the format as I also believe in having an item description.
