Simple Scheduled Backup Client with SFTP

This will be my third attempt at getting this job done. Please do not post if you do not already know how to do this code in (VB or C#) .net 2003. I have reduced my expectation for functionality, and am just looking for the client for this software. I will worry about writing the server side myself. The client needs to be able to do all of the following: • Select files to be backed up and save them as a backup job. • Schedule backup jobs • The ability to select and do incremental and differential as well as full backups (This should simply use the catalog and the last modified date of the file is sufficient to use for handling what has and what has not changed since the last appropriate backup) • Compress the files backed up and place them in a zip, or other compressed file. • The ability to select the size of the archive (backup) file, so that it will span if larger then one file. • The backup files will need to be saved to hard disk (No need for tape interaction) • As an option to the user, the compressed files will need to be encrypted with a password (key) that is entered by the user (if they chose this option). Blowfish (128) should be used for this. • Open files should be able to be backed up even if they are in use. • Once backup jobs are complete, they will have the ability to be sent to a SFTP server as part of the backup job. • The ability to list multiple SFTP servers, and have the software try each server until a successful connection and transfer is made. (Not do all servers just the first one that works) • A catalog of the backups should be kept (in XML format preferably) so that the user can select a file to restore, and the software will be able to select the correct backup file to restore from. • The user will be able to restore from the client software. • The full catalog will be backed up as part of every backup job, and included in the resulting backup file, giving a newly installed backup client (for instance after a complete system failure) the ability to access the full catalog from any of the backup files. • The install should be very small (less then 10 meg). • All rights to the software will belong to me. • Software will run on any OS that has the .net framework installed If you need any clarification for any of this, please ask before you bid. My budget is small, but I think this is well outlined, and someone should be able to knock it out in a week easy.
