Hello, my name is Manny Cabanilla and I'm interested in opening up a new adult care home in Vancouver, WA. I've already submitted my blueprints to the city from my first architect but he has gone silent when my revision letters came back from the city. I am looking for a structural engineer to help me with the revisions. The revision asks: 8. Structural Issues - Please provide plans & tables which show Engineer's locations and types of shear walls & hold-downs. 9. Structural Issues - Foundation Plan Sheet 3 specifies a Slab-on-Grade for floor and foundation. Wall Section Sheet 6 depicts Stem Wall & Floor Joist construction. Please coordinate and correct. Looking for someone who can hopefully put these into our current blueprints. Thank you

Hi, I am a licensed structural engineer in several states in the US with several years experiences in design of structures. I am completely familiar with US design codes but I need to get more information regarding your project. Can you send all the document you have for this project? Also I need to know if you need the drawings to be stamped by WA licensed engineer or not? Just keep in mind that you need a structural engineer in the US and familiar with US codes. Thanks, Behzad.

Dear Manny, I am Kutay. I can help you, but I need to ask some questions to be sure if I am right person for the job. 1- Does the city requires a P.E.(professional Engineer) signature for the documents. If so, I do not have eligibility of signing in US, so either you should find a PE to check and approve my documents otherwise you should directly work with a P.E. 2- Can you send the architectural drawings to me to place a correct bid and time. I am Civil/Structural Engineer with Msc on Earhquake and currently conducting a Phd. Besides I have 6 years of Structural Design experience, in design companies.
