Application written with eMbedded Visual Basic (3.0) for PPC2002

I need a fairly simple program to written in eVB since I'm a C# programmer and I do not have the time to teach myself eVB right now. The program needs to read an XML file, where certain parameters from products are located. The app needs to interface with the barcode scanner on the Symbol mobile computer which is the target. When scanned, and a the specific barcode is found within the XML file the quantity must be decreased. Afterwards the app needs to write a similair XML file with updated quantities via the serial cable (cradle) back to a main terminal (PC). I have samples for the specific Symbol device if needed, they are written in VS2003/5/8 in C# and (regular) VB.
