Resumen del concurso

Description:
Find the most efficient no-code solution to convert 10,000 customer business card scans into a detailed Excel database.

Each card has been scanned using the CamScanner app and they vary widely in design, content, and layout and all of them are different. (90% of the cards are in english, 10% are in urdu and arabic)

Objective:
Looking for innovative, no-code methods that automate the conversion of these business card images to an Excel sheet with minimal human interaction. The best method should be fast, cost-effective (minimal or zero cost), and capable of handling high variability in card designs without any coding or manual programming.

Submission Guidelines:
* Propose a no-code solution using online tools or existing software that can intelligently organize varied information into consistent Excel columns.

* Emphasize speed and automation in your proposal, ensuring that it can handle 5,000 cards quickly and efficiently.

* You are encouraged to submit multiple entries if you know of more than one suitable method.

Key Points:
* Only no-code solutions will be accepted; no custom coding or programming should be involved (because I dont know coding)
* Solutions should require minimal human effort and be cost-effective.
* The proposed tool must adapt well to high card design variability.
* The solution needs to be dealing easily with 10,000 cards so we can just dump/upload the cards and the solution should create it.
* The cards are scanned front and back, so image 1 will be front, the image after it will be the back. This is done for all of them.

???You need to submit your solution in your entry. The simplest, fastest and most accurate method will win. The winner should be an easy way that we will just upload the cards to, and it will automatically create an excel sheet

#28 Plz check the samples. I created an app to make it happen without writing any code from your side. You will have to upload the images of the card, wait a bit for it to process, and export it in a CSV or EXCEL file. #28

Utilize Google Apps Script to create a custom function that interacts with the Google Cloud Vision API to extract text from the images.
Parse the extracted text to identify relevant information (e.g., name, email, phone number, etc.).
Populate the Google Sheet with the extracted data in the appropriate columns.
    Automation:

You can set up a trigger in Google Sheets to automatically run the script on a schedule or whenever new images are added to the Google Drive folder.
This automation ensures that the process is fast and requires minimal human intervention.
By combining Google Sheets with Google Cloud Vision API, you can achieve a fast, cost-effective, and no-code solution to convert business card scans into a detailed Excel database. The variability in card designs and languages is handled by the robust OCR capabilities of the Vision API.

    Google Sheets:

Start by creating a Google Sheets document where the extracted data will be stored.
Create column headers for the information you want to extract from the business cards (e.g., Name, Company, Email, Phone, etc.).
    Google Cloud Vision API:

Google Cloud Vision API offers OCR (Optical Character Recognition) capabilities which can extract text from images.
You can use the API directly from Google Sheets using Google Apps Script, without any coding required.
Google Cloud Vision API supports multiple languages including English, Urdu, and Arabic, which will cover the languages used on the business cards.
    Process:

Upload all the business card images to a Google Drive folder.
In Google Sheets, use the IMPORTDATA function to import the list of image URLs from the Google Drive folder.
