C# and GDI+ Expert Consultation via MSN

I'm a C++ / GDI programmer moving to C#. My employer is forcing me to convert some of my projects to GDI+ using C#. I think we're going to have a 20% performance drop. I bought a few books on C# and GDI+ but I would also like to chat with someone via MSN for two hours regarding best practices of GDI+ programming in C#. Important: I will be using **C# 2005**, and this new version has a double buffering function built in. I have a few questions regarding this new double buffering function and how best to use it (drawing in memory, bitblting to the screen). I also have questions on speed and performance vs. standard Windows API, and how best to improve performance. I also have C# programming questions regarding delegates, best practices in C#, tips, tricks, etc. I will give you a few design scenarios during our chat for you to answer, and this should help me get a head start. Summary: I program in C++ and know nothing about C#, and I have been handed the task of drawing some high performance stuff on the screen using C#. I'm looking for a talented C# GDI+ professional to consult for 2 hours maximum via MSN. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
