Hello there,
I run a small freelancing business which offers services in proofreading, copy-editing, writing and research. My first job was a historical romance novel of 70,000 words, which was published last month – as well as offering proofreading on the manuscript, I also acted as a ‘Brit-picker’ for the author, since she was an American working with British syntax, and needed an extra pair of eyes to check that her work was accurate.
At the moment, I am working on another novel – a crime novel this time – which is approximately 409 pages long, by proofreading it and offering some character development for the work.
Other recent jobs have included a Master’s thesis on drama, so I am used to handling large pieces of work as well as smaller ones, and can promise that the quality of my work will not suffer from the length of the work on offer.
I am from the UK, so I normally use British English in my work, and would ask for 320 AUD (£188.08) for this job.
I hope to hear from you soon!
Best,
Margaret Banford.
