This task contains all needed info, you don't have to be super-professional to complete it, please read carefully, no special skills required. You need to write a Need For Speed High Stakes track converter - to convert tracks from this game format to any 3D format acceptable by 3DsMax. After you pick up your jaw from the floor, read below, it's simplier you could imagine :) Here is program called "T3ED", dealing with NFS tracks: [login to view URL] - It has a detailed overview of NFS track file format in it's help file (THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THIS TASK!). - It has source code inside, not sure you will need it, but it's there - it can (probably :)) export tracks to some format (IT MIGHT HELP YOU, AND MIGHT NOT). - to run on Win7/Vista, you need to unzip "d3drm for Win7-Vista" archive, but it might work fine only on Win XP, anyway, this program is not what you need, just a sample of track using, you need only it's help file - help file opens fine on Win XP, you might need to find some program to view it in Win 7/Vista You can select any 3D format to convert to: - it should be acceptable by 3DsMax, lots of formats there (3ds, obj, etc.), most formats are well documented, should be easy to find their structure overview. - it should contain texture data, so after conversion it would be opened in 3DsMax with all textures applied on objects, I DON'T WANT to apply all textures myself, or this task would become useless. I can get you a copy of NFS HS tracks if you don't have time to find it.
