Build an Online Store

Original Requirements:

This is what they would want on the site. Its a volunteer organization that helps mothers with postpartum depression.

Please let me know what technologies / platform and languages you would like to use/ recommend.

• Home page

• About us

• Donations - Donation options and amounts.

• Video library - I should be able to Upload videos

• Audio library - I should be able to Upload audio

• News letter‎ - Pdf upload and download.

• Event calendar with RSVP link, rsvp page should have the ability to except sign up for events and payments for events. Note: Each event has different information, pricing and location. ‎And I guess it will need a email confirmation system. Maybe a list for me of the people that signed up.

• Visitors log in - eventually

• Add an online store - eventually

• Book recommendations and other references and recommendations

• Ppd self evaluation - a questionnaire that should give a person the ability to evaluate themselves if they have ppd.

• ‎Blog - eventually

I would like this site to be built in a way that most of the things that I might want to update and edit I should have the ability to do it on my own.

The things that I said eventually, I don't know if I will ever want it or not, but I don't want that if I will want to add those stuff I'll have to rebuild the site from scratch.

That's all I have in mind for now

General Questions:

• Video Gallery: Would like to host videos on your own server or you want a streaming server like youtube or vimeo for your videos.

• Audio Gallery: Would you like soundcloud integration for your audios

• Events: Are these events posted on your website or you want Facebook Events integration

• Recommendation: Are these star ratings or numbered ratings?

Answers:

• The video and audio is okay if embedded by Youtube and soundcloud.

The questionnaire, online store and blog doesn't have to be for now.

• The book recommendations is more like a list Here is an example: [url removed, login to view]

• The event calendar doesn't have to be integrated with FB but if its not a big deal, would be good. More important is the flexibility and options provided with it.

• Please research if some kind of forum/live chat option is available in wordpress for the future will be good.

• Pls find out if its fully customizable and possible to do.
