I’m looking for a talented designer to modify a premium magento theme I’ve purchased:

I’d like to keep most of the basic layout, but am looking for a designer to create new graphic elements, and customize the color scheme to suit my business. I like the brightness/vibrancy of this theme, and would like to keep that feel, but also make it feel a bit more high-tech. I already have a new logo I’d like incorporated into the design ( [login to view URL] ), and would like the color scheme to make heavy use of blue and white, with yellow accents, and red call-to-action buttons.
You will be updating of all the different types of pages including the main index, category page (grid view), product page, shopping cart, single page checkout, and a page for articles. Out of all these pages the main index will be a bit more work. I’d like to add an expanding category menu in the left column, and split where the product grid is into 2 columns, one for information about the company, and the other to display the most popular items. I anticipate most of the existing imagery will need to be replace. Also needed, but not apparent:
- 11 category sub-header images, ~728x130px.
- Rating icons in the form of little lightning bolts
- 3-5 misc graphics ~150x100px
- Incorporation of major credit cards, paypal, google checkout, and verisign logos
You may use any of product images on our current website, but I expect you will also need to use some stock photography. It is absolutely imperative you have the rights to use this imagery, so please budget accordingly.
Timeline:
We would like to have the theme live within 6 weeks, but the sooner the better. We will have a server with magento installed that you can work on. In your bid, please let me know when you can start, and approximate how long the project will take with room for a couple rounds of revisions.
Payments:
50% Payment released after functional first draft
50% Payment released after revisions are completed, and bugs are fixed, and deliverables are packaged and received.
My budget for this project is low $1xxx, though anything under $2000 will be considered, and I'd be happy if a quality job could be done for less.
Looking for someone with prior magento experience, as its templating system is a bit tricky to work with. Please include some examples of some Magento sites you have worked on, as well as any other ecommerce sites you have designed.
