I use a free program that allows pages to be printed. Program works inside vm (virtualbox), but only allows 2 prints to be made. When program is installed it writes to the registry, perhaps even the master boot record. I use another free program that used to work up until a week ago to allow limitless prints, this has now stopped working.
I run windows xp on my vm's, it seems something from the xp install is being written to the cloud, because the program is now enforcing the 2 prints per vm.
You can create limitless vm's, each with its own 2 print limit, but as a xp install is the better part of 38 minute install, its a pain. I know xp has a Guid, or uuid, and that it has " HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Cryptography\\MachineGui"
If only the setting its looking for was modifiable, the vm would look unique.
Lastly, this isn't a problem on apple mac, only on windows.
