- The 3 small windows - 1200 height and 1500 wide. - 2.7m internal height - which is the minimum height in Australia houses. - Choose three different fan designs and do CFD modelling for each to see the air movement, measure the airflow in different speeds, fan in different positions( example: middle of the room or on the side) and achieve human comfort. - First assumption is that the roof height is 2.7m equally. - second assumption is that one side of the roof is sloped by 5 degrees as shown in the attached files. - Fans needed in living room and bedrooms. - Hallway is 1 meter. - placement of fans and number of fans needed. - what materials can be changed to drop the number of fans if needed to. - 4 and a half meter squared is not heated which is the bathroom that is not connected to the bedroom. - we can look into importing fans that are not found in Australian markets. - check Ansley's paper on fans height and clearance. -infrared controlled ceiling fans must be used.

Hi I am a thermal specialist who have done a lot of these kind of designs with CFD. I want to do this project for you with ANSYS CFD. For the analysis, I need complete information about house diameters, heat and air flows, cooling power if related, outside house conditions, perhaps insulation infomation if heat transfer through the walls will be selected. For the fans I would need volume flow information at rated power. This analysis will be a steady state. If there are fan curves given, then better because I can put fans in the model to find their performance on the curve depending on pressure they experience in selected location. Most important thing in this analysis is to define "human comfort" level wanted. Adding too many fans will produce high velocities and people inside will feel draught. From my profile you will find similar example about CFD analysis in the house, where possible draught discomfort zones are shown on isosurfaces. In that example over 25% of people can feel draught of too high/low temperature flows. There will be 3 different cases with flat and sloped roof so totally 6 cases. Each case will need CPU time and that is the reason this cannot be done sooner than 14 days, when done properly. So I am looking forward to help you with design and give the best possible analysis with low cost. Also provide you optimal fan placement. Thank you. Ismo
