Project snippet: To develop a comprehensive business plan for a new start-up in a specific area of the Middle East. The company will connect service providers with service users, similar to what Uber does in the ridesharing business. The services covered are primarily plumping and basic home maintenance work. The target market are in the residential and commercial sectors. Cross-platform app will be developed to serve as a medium to connect the service providers with the service users. The request: The idea is in the formulation phase. The particulars of the project are contingent on the findings of the business planning process. This bid concerns the development of a comprehensive plan that will be used to guide the planning and execution of the project and to seek project financing. The plan should cover the following areas: 1 - Market analysis: Market size estimate, supply/demand analysis, value chain analysis, competition analysis, service pricing, distribution analysis. 2 - Technical analysis: analysis of the product specifications required to achieve the business objectives, product development plan including estimates of the required man-hours to develop the service medium across the various platforms (web, iOS, Android) 3 - Financial projection & analysis: full value-drivers-based three-statement 5-year projections model, comprehensive development cost analysis including the app development & business development costs, 4 - Execution plan: a variable-driven timetable to fully develop and launch the business based on the findings of the analysis of the various parts of the business (marketing, technical and financial) All the data required/needed to develop the business plan as specified above will be supplied upon request. The bidder should have a solid understanding and experience in both the business development and technical aspects backed by a track record in both fields. Similar projects done in the past will be used to measure the qualification of the bidder.
