I host a successful server on byond that I want to automate specific tasks on. The first problem that I need to solve to do this is capturing and sending data to the server. My preferred choice would be something like sending defined packets but I believe the data is encrypted when going across the network. Second choice would be something that can be used both on Windows and Linux since the server is hosted on Linux but the client uses Windows. This job has the potential to evolve into multiple jobs. The first one is getting me the ability to capture and send data to the server(which I own). After that, it could evolve into added functionality. I am also the most familiar with Python and I know this carries over to both linux and windows. If possible I would like to have it completed in this language.
