Build a Graph Database (neo4j) Web-App to Map People Inside a Business

The project is to build a simple web-app front-end and graph database that will map the people in an organisation and the projects those people are working on. This is a proof of concept / prototype to explore the features and usefulness of the application. The application will map people against teams, roles, business units, locations, layers, groupings, projects, programs and assignments. MVP Features: - 10 node types (people, teams, roles, business units, locations, layers, groupings, projects, programs and assignments) with limited properties on each node (basically just a name, a from date and a to date) - 18 relationship types (e.g. person member of a team, team is in a location) with basic labels like name, from date and to date. - simple add/edit/delete for each node and each relationship type with simple business rules - estimated 15 simple queries/searches, such as: - - Show all the people in project XXX - - Show all the people in project XXX on date ZZZ - - How many teams is person XXX in - - What roles does person XXX do - - How many people are in more them one team - - What people are not in a team - - What different business units are people in project XXX from Assumptions: - minimal visual design (keep it super basic) - built using a simple heroku (or similar) neo4j hosted database instance in the cloud ([login to view URL]) - web app is a simple node.js (or similar) web-app hosted in heroku (or similar) (recommended: [login to view URL]) - business logic is within in the web-app (not in the database) - simple .htaccess or similar password protection on the app - no input data validation - heroku bill is paid by me Deliverables: - database setup and running - web-app setup and running - code for web-app in a github account (or similar) Questions welcome key terms: neo4j, graph database, heroku, node.js
