Im looking for a python developer to fork an existing opensource project on github too add a few new functions and features.

The software is a Reddit bot that allows users to create accounts, store cryptocurrency funds, and send them to other users as tips. I would like to expand that functionality to add a few new features. Like the ability to exchange the tips they have received directly for other virtual currencies.

Functionality:

Database needs to be able to store_orders, and past_orders

Users will be able to create order book entries

Users will be able to exchange one digital currency for another

If a user bids over the asking price, then the trade occurs in a first in first out manner

If a user sells under the bidding price, then the trade occurs in a last in last out manner

An example command would be

+/u/ExchangeBot Sell 100 Dogecoin for 1 Bitcoin

+/u/ExchangeBot Buy 100 Dogecoin for 1 Bitcoin

You wont have to work directly with any of the currencies or even know how they work because most of the code has already been completed and works universally for any crypto currency. So the only thing you will be building is the currency exchange functions, adding the new commands, creating the necessary database tables. Also, the bot needs to generate orderbook reports that can be seen from the wiki. Again this functions has already been created in the software, and you will just have to adapt the existing code to work with the new information generated by the orderbook tables.

The database needs to hold important identifying records.

And an important note, ill be releasing this software back into the opensource community, so your help will be for the greater good. :)

Scotti, I've read up on altcointip, and I really like it. I think I might start using it for myself someday. I also love the fact that you'll be open-sourcing the code - I'm writing this on my Arch(GNU/Linux distro) Más
