The Fall Once more the Khamsin has abated The West Wind too has slumbered The Monsoon has moved on to other climes The fly-catcher has taken to the air And the sky is spotless blue again. The fields of paddy full of milk Grown golden gilds all with rays Borrowed from a mellow sun. The trees are out in their wedding colours Vermilion, olive, turmeric and ochre.
