FILE CONVERSION SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS Basic system - requirements Standalone software or script required to convert a list of serial numbers within a text file into an Excel xlsx file. It will need to process multiple files at once (typical batch size can be around 1300 - 1800 files). There will be two types of files, 350 & 1500.  Where the 350 has 350 serial numbers.  Where the 1500 has 1500 serial numbers. Text file format: ABC0001T ABC0001* ABC0002K ABC0002) ABC0003C ABC0003$ Etc Etc One serial number is represented by two lines in the text file, one with a letter at the end and one with a special character at the end. The main function of the software will be converting these into Excel files, which will need to be in the following format: - Code 1 Code 2 Code 3 Code 4 Code 5 Read Read 1000001 1000002 1000003  The Code 1 column will be a fixed sequential number from 1000001 to 1001500 for the 1500 files, and in reverse for the 350 files i.e. 1000350 to 1000001 .  Code 2 will be the alpha characters from the serial number i.e. ABC  Code 3 will be the numerical characters from the serial i.e. 0001  Code 4 will be the last letter from the first line of each serial i.e. T  Code 5 will be the last special character from the second line of each serial i.e. *  The last two columns are the complete serials:  Read (1) – first line serial i.e. ABC0001T  Read (2) – second line serial number i.e. ABC0001* Ideally, the output files will be generated in their own output folder which consists of the order number (inputted by the user) i.e. ORDER123456. The filename of the output Excel files should be the same as the input text filenames, but obviously with the different extension (*.txt vs *.xlsx). Note also that *.xls file types (older Excel versions) are also compatible. Advanced system - requirements As additional capability, the serial numbers are stored in a database / table. During the conversion operation (or prior), an additional check is carried out by the software in order to ensure there are no duplicate serial numbers contained within the text files being processed, compared to that of the previous numbers already converted. The duplicate number check be only needed on the alpha and numerical numbers i.e. ABC0001
