Wordpress website hacked, need to improve security and prevent happening again

I run a web hosting service and have experience cleaning up Wordpress sites. After dealing with some pretty nasty stuff, my standard procedure is to bring down the hammer, nuking the site from orbit and bringing the database over to a new install. As long as you keep WP updated and get rid of any plugins that are not regularly updated, that's that. On the cpanel end, I'll put up Modsecurity and CSF to help keep things secure.
