Gaming File Repository - Pulling Data Through JSON API

My website Demu ([login to view URL]) needs a complete programming overhaul. The current website was created with Laravel and has significant performance issues (slow, extremely resource consuming). For this project I am looking for the logic of the website to be replaced with just functional webpages. The languages to be used need to be PHP and MySQL. I will hire a web designer to do the webpages once all the programming is completed. It mostly just mirrors what you will currently see on Demu. There are a few minor removals (Review feature, certain views) and additions (Liked/Not Liked feature, Mini Collections). Demu is my personal website which essentially mirrors the data I am maintaining at archive.org. You will need to program the site so that it uses the [login to view URL] API (information available at [login to view URL] & [login to view URL] ) to fetch, and routinely update, data from the collections I can specify.
