The initial contract will be 3 months but the project is expected to take 16 months. It is highly likely the successful developer will receive multiple extensions. Project Specific Duties / Requirements: • Create incremental enhancements to LMS to work towards improved functionality and optimization like adding modular plugins and customizing existing features and code. Examples of enhancements include: • Enhancement of the Open Course library within the LMS • Look and feel improvements, such as color schemes and dynamic font and graphic improvements. • Addition of modular features such as chat, calendars, reporting, tracking, and other enhancements to keep the environment useful and engaging. • The creation of subcategories, lookup tools, and more meaningful taxonomies for using content. • Continuing to automate the transition between the primary language interfaces; English, Spanish, and Dutch. • Support enhancements to existing help desk infrastructure, which includes an LMS-based ticketing system, help phone number, and email access and population of a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section of the LMS-based help desk software. • Report and correct any defects in the software (bugs).
