Risk Management for Stock Investing

Once I buy a stock, I would like to be able to set a certain prices or percentages at which the program will automatically sell the stock. So if I buy a stock at $1.00 per share, I would like to be able to put a sell order into my online broker at the current market price if the price of the stock falls to a value of $0.90 per share. Also I want to be able to set it so that if I drop say 10% below my original buy price it will automatically put a sell order into my broker at the current market price. The program will have to be able to pull streaming stock quotes either from my broker or some other live streaming source. I was thinking the best way to approach this would be to have the program automatically login to my brokerage account and constantly monitor the prices of stocks that I own. If a set price or percentage is hit, the program will automatically fill out a sell order on the broker’s webpage for the current market price. The whole purpose is to limit my risk when investing in highly volatile stocks that move quickly during times that I am unable to watch myself. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows XP and compatible with TDAmeritrade and also Choicetrade brokerages.
