Craigslist Automatic Keyword Search Program
An application that searches Craigslist for any new posted items based on keywords that are specified on a time interval. The search would search the "FOR SALE" area of Craigslist.
Example: The application would search Des Moines, Iowa for any new items matching the words: bicycle, trailer, and speakers. You can also set a time interval for these reports, such as every 5 minutes or 30 minutes it would do another automatic search. It would then email me the result or list the results of each new listing that matched any of the items.
The purpose of the application is to avoid having to do manual web searches on craigslist for multiple items you are looking for, individually. Also, it would report the items to you faster as soon as they are posted since it is searching on a frequent time interval.
Features:
1. Ability to list a location (such as Des Moines, Iowa or Chicago, Illinois). Ability to search multiple locations at the same time a plus. Locations are preset on Craigslist so it would need to link to the available location searches
2. Ability to list 1-10 keywords. These keywords then bring back the results of the search based on location.
3. Ability to email each result it finds based on each keyword, or a list of all findings on all keywords. If this is too difficult to email, then just display on a computer and not worry about email function.
4. Ability to set a time interval for the search. 5 minutes to 12 hours.
