We're looking for a programmer to implement a browser-based application (page/plugin/component) which is to cleanly remove the SideStep toolbar from the user's computer.
We wish to include a link on our website offering users a one-click opportunity to uninstall the SiteStep toolbar.
Your implementation is to work with Internet Explorer 6 under Windows.
For your testing, you can retrieve the SideStep toolbar from [here][1].
Your bid should include a short description of the technology/approach you intend to take in the implementation. (eg: ActiveX component) Your bid should also be sure to mention any software development tools (compilers, visual studio, etc) that we will need to acquire in order to make any future modifications to the implementation.
The user workflow will be as follows:
1. User clicks link on our main page indicating desire to remove SideStep.
2. We have the user download your implementation from our server.
3. User executes your implementation to remove SideStep.
We will provide name for the application and any required message strings upon acceptance of the bid.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
